Recemat metalfoam is very suitable as a catalyst carrier due to its large effective surface per volume and its high porosity.

The metalfoam’s surface can even be alloyed in order to obtain qualities required by specific chemical processes.

Experiments are going on with Platinum plating and silver plating of nickelfoams.
